The Atlas of Design is a project of the North American Cartographic Information Society (NACIS), begin with Volume 1 in 2012. I was on the all-volunteer editorial team for Volume 5 in 2020 and Volume 6 in 2022 including working on the layout using design templates developed by previous editors. Then in 2022 I took up the new position of series managing editor, responsible for a bunch of behind-the-scenes and continuity aspects of the project. It’s been an honor and a pleasure to be part of this effort, and seeing so many fabulous maps go past my eyes.
