This map was part of the NACIS Map Quilt in October 2022. Every year for the conference, the site of the conference is divided up into rectangles, and volunteer participants take one of those rectangles and make a map of that section.

This year, the conference was in my hometown, Minneapolis. So I got the section that includes the house I’ve lived in with my family since 2001, and populated the map entirely with memories and associations I have with places in the neighborhood. An exercise in focusing map content not on external reference (though the map base is completely straightforward streets and such) but on my priorities.
