To illustrate a basic text on early South Asian religious history, I made a total of 18 maps. Most focused on the subcontinent, which let me make one base and repeat it with variations. But there were also regional and continental maps, and so I developed a basic style template that was adaptable across scales, and was clean and neutral in tone.
